Caring for Your Z-Star Shoes
A little care goes a long way. These simple steps will keep your pair looking fresh and feeling comfortable for longer.
Everyday Cleaning
- Brush off dust and dirt after wearing with a soft brush or dry cloth.
- For marks, gently wipe with a soft cloth dipped in lukewarm water and a drop of mild soap. Wipe again with a clean damp cloth.
- Never machine wash, soak or scrub hard, as this can damage the material, stitching and glue.
Sneakers and Fabric Uppers
- Remove laces and wash them separately by hand.
- Clean soles and side walls with an old toothbrush and mild soapy water.
- Stuff with paper while drying to help them keep their shape.
Leather and Synthetic Leather
- Wipe with a slightly damp cloth, then dry immediately.
- Avoid alcohol, bleach and strong cleaners, which can cause cracking or fading.
Drying
- Always air-dry at room temperature.
- Keep away from direct sunlight, heaters and hair dryers, since heat can warp soles and weaken adhesives.
- If your shoes get wet in the rain, remove insoles if possible, stuff with newspaper and let them dry fully before wearing again.
Storage
- Store in a cool, dry, ventilated place.
- Use the original box or a dust bag to protect from dust and scratches.
- Avoid stacking heavy items on top of your shoes.
Make Them Last Longer
- Rotate between pairs instead of wearing the same pair daily.
- Use a shoehorn for closed shoes to protect the heel counter.
- Loosen laces or straps before taking shoes off.
Note: Natural signs of wear, such as creasing and sole wear from regular use, are normal and not a manufacturing defect.
